Artist’s  Statement:

My art is what my mind’s eye sees and my soul feels.

I have been a “working” artist for a long time, drawing or sketching something since I could hold a
crayon.  I am self taught and I enjoy exploring new media and techniques.
I am not limited to any  set "Style".  My colors are usually vibrant and bold because I love the drama, contrast and
the excitement of color.  My art is an outward expression of the things that touch me in some way.

Subjects I love include, History in general and the Woman's role in it, Writing, Teaching, Music, The Occult Sciences, Anthropology, Egyptology, Mythology and so on.

My Native American stylized work  is signed using the pen name Singletree.
I do this in honor and in memory of my mother.
I am always open to new discoveries whether it is a new technique in painting or a wonderful new book or piece of music.

We all come from the Source, and to It we shall return, Like a drop of rain, flowing to the ocean.

Open your arms to the night sky.
Open your eyes to the moon’s light.
Open your ears to the owl’s song.
Open your mouth and sing praise.
Empty your cup of  life’s pain .
Refill your soul with beauty.

A Note to my Sisters:

Every woman, if we are lucky enough to live past 50, will be crowned wise woman-crone whether we are want it or are aware of it or not. Since the creation of the first human woman, it has been designed to be so.

Those of you who are unaware will just think you have gotten smarter in your old age, those of you who are connected, even unconsciously, to the Earth will know you have been crowned and with that crowning comes some very special gifts that should be embraced and heartily welcomed.

In today’s culture, we are conditioned to believe that for women, only youth and beauty is valuable. Not So ! My Sister, this is a myth that was perpetrated to blind us to our true selves, our true paths, our power and to cripple our abilities. ( After all My Sister, nothing is more powerful than a Maiden, Mother or Crone who is in full-blown realization of her power and herself.)
What has really happened to us, My Sisters, is that we have been set free. Here are just 10 of the hundreds of reasons why I believe this is so.

1. What others think of what we do and what we say no longer matters that much.
2. Having the “latest” hair-do or outfit is suddenly not that important anymore.
3. A pouring out and a gathering in of knowledge begins in earnest.
4. You begin to see clearly what really matters to you the most.
5. Sexual prowess is not as important as the ability to touch and be touched and although sex is still great and a lot of fun, it's not the end all be all of your existance.
6. You find out that Love is not described as another person or persons, but encompasses all living things and all are connected.
7. The focus has now turned inward to the power of the Spirit rather than outward searching for reasons and whys.
8. Keeping up with the “Jones’s” turns out to just be silly.
9. Our planet is crying and we hear it. It makes us sad and we remember to honor our Mother again.
10. We start to watch others make the same silly mistakes we did when we were younger and we either reach out to advise or simply watch them stumble and smile knowingly and the beauty of it is..which one you choose is entirely up to you.
This list could go on and on, but just these 10 things are enough to set the Spirit free and give you wings.
Remember always that The Earth Moher reveals herself in all women.
Blessed be My Sisters.

Poem For The Great Mother:  An Ancient Text

I am the Great Mother, worshipped by all creation and existent prior to
their consciousness. I am the primal female force, boundless and eternal.

I am the chaste Goddess of the Moon, the Lady of all magic. The winds and
moving leaves sing my name. I wear the crescent Moon upon my brow and my
feet rest among the starry heavens. I am mysteries yet unsolved, a path
newly set upon. I am a field untouched by the plow. Rejoice in me and know
the fullness of youth.

I am the blessed Mother, the gracious Lady of the harvest. I am clothed with
the deep, cool wonder of the Earth and the gold of the fields heavy with
grain. By me the tides of the Earth are ruled; all things come to fruition
according to my season. I am refuge and healing. I am the life-giving Mother
wondrously fertile.

Worship me as the Crone, tender of the unbroken cycle of death and rebirth.
I am the wheel, the shadow of the Moon. I rule the tides of women and men
and give release and renewal to weary souls. Through the darkness of death
is my domain, the joy of birth is my gift.

I am the Goddess of the Moon, the Earth, the Seas. My names and strengths
are manifold. I pour forth magic and power, peace and wisdom. I am the
eternal Maiden, Mother of all, and Crone of darkness, and I send you
blessings of limitless love.
